The staff at Creekside work hand in hand with the Leadership Team to cast vision, empower Creeksiders to discover and use their gifts, and to lead one and all into the world to be salt and light. They are responsible for implementing the vision through effective ministry plans as directed by the Lead Pastor, and assisting in the planning of all Creekside gatherings.
Staff
Pastor Mark has been the lead pastor at Creekside since October, 2017. He has a passion for helping people understand and experience the transforming love and truth of Jesus Christ and live in an abundant fashion where they are recognizing where God is at work around them and how they can join Him (living with a “Kingdom of God” lens). He believes that the church is a place where no perfect people are allowed – where we can come authentically just as we are and then be transformed by God’s grace and grow in new ways together.
Mark has served at a variety of Covenant churches and has specialized training in the area of church revitalization. Once upon a time, he was a high school music teacher, having earned his bachelor in music education from Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma, WA). He earned his Master’s of Divinity degree from North Park Theological Seminary (Chicago, IL), where he later earned a Master’s Certificate in congregational vitality. He is ordained by the Evangelical Covenant Church and also has served the denomination as a partner in their Vitality Facilitator Network.
But really…his most valued credentials are that he is the husband to his wonderful wife, Courtney, and father to three of the cutest (and most energetic!) boys around: Tommy, Josh, and Andrew. 🙂 When not busy managing nap times, bottles, and diaper changes, they have grand aspirations of being outdoors more and really enjoy adventures and travel. Laughter is a common phenomenon in their household, as well as reading good books, watching a good movie, and keeping a steady flow of good coffee. Mark also really enjoys woodworking.
If you have interest in learning more about Jesus or who Creekside Covenant Church is or simply just want someone to talk to, please don’t hesitate in contacting Mark.
Tim Anderson, Associate Pastor of Worship & Youth
Tim Anderson joined the Creekside staff in March 2021. Tim and his wife, Allison, have two daughters, Immy and Ivy. Tim is a Covenant pastor with over 13 years of ministry experience and leadership in both youth and worship ministries. He enjoys hip-hop, sneakers, basketball, and all things active. He is an artist who enjoys drawing and painting as well as musician, playing guitar and writing music as a hobby. He’s originally from Chicago, but has since, “converted,” becoming a loyal 12 to the Seattle Seahawks.
Tim has a deep, authentic, and contagious passion for Jesus and Scripture…as well as a natural love for and relatability with people of all ages (especially students). In all he does, he seeks to demonstrate and share the faithfulness of God in order to help point people to Jesus. His greatest joy is to see God at work in his life – in his family, in the lives of his students, and in the greater church at large. Feel free to reach out to Pastor Tim here.
Emilie started coming to Creekside as one of its youngest attendees in 1999 when the church started. Growing up, she began to teach Sunday School classes herself, attended our youth group, and has volunteered at several of Creekside’s various activities over the years. Creekside has continued to be her home church and she is excited to take on this interim position for the 2021 summer.
My name is Yesenia Ellis. I’m a wife and a mother of two kids, Nibari and Daniel. Four years ago I started attending Iglesia Creekside and since then I consider Creekside, both the English-speaking and the Spanish-speaking congregations, to be my family. I came to the United States 21 years ago. I love to spend my time with my family and together serving the Lord.
